The Thomas Paine Statue in Washington D.C.

The National Capital Memorial Advisory Commission Meeting voted unanimously to support the bill asking for Federal land  to build the statue on, a big step towards the Bill being taken up in Congress. Jamie Raskin spoke, with his love of Paine so evident, and here is his letter to the Commission.

As a proud Board member of the Thomas Paine Memorial Association, and part of a wonderful group of people working to raise that statue, I am thrilled!
